This picture was taken for a Royal Photographic Society submission in 1970.
The picture is a set up. I spotted the writing on the rock as I was driving along one day. I found the chapel minister who agreed to let me take a picture of him on the pathway leading down from the chapel.
We arranged to take the picture a few days later.
The morning we were going to take the picture, I discovered that one of the ministers 'flock' had passed away. The appointment had to be cancelled.
The submission date for the R.P.S. was rapidly approaching.
My cousin, a doctor in London, happened to be staying with my aunt for a few days.
Like the fine actor that he was, I dressed him up in a suit, made a 'dog collar' and found a bible.
He enjoyed every minute of the acting experience as he walked down the path from the chapel.
He kept a framed picture on his consulting room wall for years until he retired.
