the 'Triangle' was built to house skilled workers from the Plymouth Iron Works.
The 'Triangle consisted of terraced rows of two up and two down stone cottages arranged in an unusual triangle pattern. There was a 'village green' in the centre.
This photographs shows 'Long Row' in the foreground with the 'Triangle' behind.
In the distance on the right can be seen the Hoover factory. Abercanaid, can be seen in the far distance.
The 'Merthyr Triangle' was demolished in December 1977.
